Her Excellency Mrs. Amma A. Twum-Amoah,

Ghana’s Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the Africa Union and the Economic Commission for Africa.

Her Excellency Mrs Amma Adomaa Twum-Amoah is a career diplomat who joined the Ghana Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991. Until her appointment as the Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, she was the Director of the newly created Economic, Trade and Investment Bureau.

In the course of her career, Ambassador Twum-Amoah has served in various capacities including Director at the State Protocol Department, Deputy Chief of Protocol, Assistant Director, Policy Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring Bureau and Assistant Director Middle East and Asia Bureau. She has also held diverse positions in Ghana’s Embassy in Washington, D.C., High Commission in Canberra and Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva.

The Ambassador holds Master of Business Administration from the University of Canberra, Post-Graduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Oxford, Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration, Accra, and Bachelor of Education (Honours) and Diploma in Religious Studies from the University of Cape Coast.

She is an avid reader who enjoys reading biographies of famous world leaders. She also takes pleasure in listening to gospel and inspirational music, cooking exotic dishes, designing clothes and plays recreational badminton.

Mrs Twum-Amoah is married and blessed with a son and two daughters.
